What Does "Organic" Mean?
At Natralus, we create cosmetic products that are crafted with thoughtfulness and purpose. We’re proud of our Australian-made approach, our family-friendly ownership, and the fact that each and every Natralus product is crafted to purposefully solve real-life skin problems.
One of the biggest standards that we follow in pursuit of that last goal is the need to utilize natural and organic fruit and plant-based superfood active ingredients throughout our formulas.
While terms like “natural” and “organic” are easy to throw out there, though, they’re often slapped on a label without a second thought. Not at Natralus. We’re committed to authentically weaving them into our cosmetic philosophy.
With that in mind, here are a few thoughts to help you understand what is meant when a word like “organic” is included on a Natralus product.
Defining Organic
When the term organic is used, it typically is related to one of two things. First, there’s the chemical term, which simply means a chemical contains at least one carbon atom. Simple. Easy.
Where the confusion comes in is through the rise of the agricultural definition of the word in recent years. In that case, the word “organic” is a label-related term that refers to how a product’s ingredients have been made.
In other words, when you see that something is organic, it typically refers to the ways that producers raised or grew the animals or crops, respectively. When it comes to plant-based organic items, the USDA breaks down its organic label by explaining that “organic” includes addressing critical factors such as:
- Soil quality;
- Pest and weed control;
- How additives are used;
It also means producers are focusing on using natural substances and certain farming methods whenever possible. These unique production standards impact produce throughout the growing cycle.
How Natralus Embraces the Organic Mantra
At Natralus, organic is just the tip of the iceberg. We also avoid petroleum and are both chemical- and cruelty-free.
This is because we don’t want synthetic agricultural practices interfering with the natural production of our ingredients in any way. We believe nature holds all of the answers needed for good skincare, no matter the circumstances.
The farther we wander from nature, the more our state of being is thrown out of balance. Mother Nature has the ability to create powerful, nutritional fruits and plants without the aid (or tampering) of synthetic help.
When these are brought together in their purest form and in the right combinations, they can solve a myriad of different problems.
This is why, for Natralus, we are passionately committed to avoiding things like nasty chemicals — even in the earliest agricultural stages of growing our ingredients, long before they are ever mixed or put into a bottle. We want our customers to be confident in the fact that, whenever they see the Natralus label, they know that the product inside is only made with the finest ingredients that are natural, organic, and whenever possible, both.
